hey peacefreak, I love your work. Where do you go to school?I went to Brooks Institute of photography, but am doing a lot of graphic design at my current job. I am really trying to learn as much as i can about illustrator without going to school for it again, but im sure thats kinda like learning photoshop from home too, its possible, but takes a LONG LONG time
I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona about 4 months ago. Currently I'm just designing on my own schedule. Graphic design and photography are married, it is important to be able to do both. Not entirely true w/ regards to Illustrators mountainous appearances. If you know Photoshop, then it is easy to learn Illustrator. The most important thing is to have fun. Play with every tool in the box and look up tutorials galore. You will be creating hypothetical points in space in no time. (Aka, making vectors.)

Hi, It was nice meeting you also. I don't think Chris specifically said who I was. Anyhow, I'm Art. It's great to see more DeviantArt people around here. None of my friends can managed to stay active with it. Your office was amazing... and huge. I can't wait to start looking for work. I love your illustrations, so good and of great topics too. I'm a Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal geek. Well, I'm off. keep an eye out, I try to post pretty regularly.
Yeah, I know what you mean about work. For a while I was posting daily but I ran out of time to do that. *sigh*.
The job I currently have requires me to be a student. Which is why I keep pushing back my graduation date. Although, there are tons of benefits to staying out of the economy for a while. I will get the opportunity of fighting for a job in 3 months time when I graduate.
Do you get to use a lot of your illustration skills where you are working right now? what are they having you do?
Well, I actually ended up not really liking the graphic world so much ^^" I'm actually from New Mexico, and well there wasnt much back home. So I came out to Cali hoping for bigger things O.O Right now I dont use my schooling to much, not directly. The attention to detail and design, layout, color, things like that definitely come in handy. I'm a compositor right now, and I'm still kinda new to it so I dont get the greatest jobs to work on, but they are all pretty fun and I learn something new most ever day, which is always exciting!
